Clifton Crofford

Clifton Crofford, Supportive Vessel, 2012
Fort Worth, Texas
Clifton Crofford's journey into the world of glass started while at UT Arlington. After countless design classes in the Architecture, Theater, and Art department, Clifton worked for the University to help develop a new facility for the glass department. After graduation, he and a few other UT Arlington graduates opened their own glassblowing facility. While improving his skills and working with galleries and designers in the Dallas/ Fort Worth area, Clifton began planning a public access community based facility. Soon thereafter, SiNaCa studios was born in 2007 and he and the four other founding artists began educating the community about the wonders of glass.
As an artist, Clifton's work is based on the world and life he lives, strongly influenced by nature and the nature of relationships. His skills are based from traditional Italian techniques and the inherent innovative spirit of humanity.
