Artist Statement
The processes and techniques that I utilize in studio glassblowing allow me to become lost in the moment, bringing my awareness of the present to its highest most intimate point. Glass provides me with the ability to wipe my mind clean of any trivial or stressful matter, granting me with a glimpse of clarity. In this time of pure creation, the life of the material is dependent upon how receptive I am to its needs; it is this which creates a time of controlled obsession, when the hurdles of the past and tomorrow's uncertainties are of no consequence.
