GLASS 2012:  PART III: GLASS AND YOU

Thank you to everyone who attended our Panel Discussion, Why Glass? at The McKinney Avenue Contemporary on Thursday, June 28, 2012.  Special thanks to Joshua Minatrea for filming the panel discussion, in collaboration with Glass 2012, The McKinney Avenue Contemporary (The MAC), Ro2 Art and Art This Week.

Part III: Glass and You features educational programming for public engagement with glass artists, their work, glass-blowing demonstrations, classes, and glass installations throughout Dallas.

Why Glass? panel discussion at The McKinney Avenue Contemporary took place Thursday, June 28, 2012, featuring four panelists - three of Texas' best-known glass artists and a legendary collector. The artists are Jim Bowman, co-owner of Bowman Hot Glass Studios in Dallas, Carlyn Ray, owner of Carlyn Ray Designs in central Texas, and Tim Todd, co-founder of Sinaca Studios in Fort Worth. The collector is Dennis DuBois, who with his wife Barbara, has been collecting glass art for more than thirty years and has one of the premier collections of glass in the country.
