Tim Todd, Mace's Journey, 2012
Fort Worth, Texas

Tim Todd, born in Omaha, Nebraska, came to Texas in 1975. He received his BBA in International Business at Texas Wesleyan University and his MBA in Human Resources Management from the University of Dallas.

Tim spent many years in the corporate world owning a modeling agency and working as a human resources manager for a government contractor. After leaving the private sector, he attended the University of Texas at Arlington in their glass program. During his four years of study, his primary focus was on kiln-formed glass.

Soon after leaving UTA, he opened his working studio, T2 Glass, in Fort Worth. He later relocated his studio to the prominent Design District in Dallas, introducing his work to the various art galleries. It was during this time that he was awarded his first commission for Neiman Marcus. This initial commission evolved into designing for the Neiman Marcus stores throughout the United States including Massachusetts, Georgia, California, Washington, Florida, and their newest Walnut Creek store outside of San Francisco. Tim also works with kids, teaching them the glass fusing process on individual glass tiles. Thousands of tiles have been designed into four larger presentation sculptures on permanent display in the Neiman Marcus Fort Worth store. These sculptures have been curated into Neiman’s fine art collection.

Tim moved T2 Glass back to Fort Worth to balance his very active studio with a community project as a founder of a newly-forming glass school, SiNaCa Studios – School of Glass. He is currently an instructor with SiNaCa and is the curator for the Neiman Marcus Zodiac Restaurant Gallery. His is now in the process of building his new studio in Fort Worth called “Villa Vetro” on Lake Worth and is commissioned to Texas Health Resources/Harris Methodist Hospital and Cook Children’s Hospital to design art glass for display in their hospitals.
